Earthen Elan: Villa Interior Design in Sarjapur, Bangalore

Earthen Elan is a completed 3,500 sq ft villa interior design project for Nitish Chaya in Sarjapur, Bangalore. The villa receives strong afternoon sunlight through its west-facing windows, and the brief was to work with this natural light rather than block it with cool colours or heavy drapery. The aim was to create a warm, inviting home with comfortable spaces for the family to entertain without feeling overly formal.

The interiors use terracotta, burnt orange, and sienna tones, with limewash walls in the living areas and softer shades in the bedrooms. Terracotta-toned flooring adds warmth to the common areas, while the bedrooms use warm wood flooring for a softer feel. Organic furniture forms, including curved dining chairs, a rounded entry console, and rust and ochre bouclé seating, complement the earthy palette. Amber-toned lighting, terracotta pendant shades, and a woven rattan chandelier reinforce the warmth of the interiors.

The kitchen continues the material language with a handmade terracotta-tile backsplash and warm wood cabinetry. The primary bedroom repeats the limewash finish through its curved headboard wall, while clay-toned bathroom tiles and unlacquered brass fittings complete the palette.
