Apartment Interior Design in Jayanagar: Creating a Warmer Home

Ivory and Oak is a completed 2,000 sq ft apartment interior design project for B&B Residence 02 in Jayanagar, Bangalore. Designed alongside Muted Harmony for the B&B family in the same building, the apartment follows the same planning discipline and finish quality while creating a different mood. The clients wanted a warmer home built around natural wood tones and a cream palette rather than the cooler neutrals used in the sister apartment.

The Creative Solution

Jayanagar Apartment Interiors: Natural Oak and Cream Tones

The palette combines ivory and cream walls with natural oak-toned finishes across wardrobes, the TV console, and selected flooring accents. The living room features an oak-veneer TV unit with open shelving for books and personal objects, while ivory bouclé seating, a jute-blend rug, and woven cane detailing add warmth and texture.

The kitchen continues the oak language through tall storage units, balanced with ivory-white base cabinetry and a light stone-finish countertop. Both bedrooms feature oak wardrobes and upholstered headboards against soft ivory walls, complemented by warm-white cove and task lighting. Custom storage is planned throughout the 2,000 sq ft apartment, including a compact study nook integrated into the second bedroom's window bay.

Completed in 2024, Ivory and Oak shares the planning approach and attention to lighting of its sister apartment while establishing its own identity through a warmer material palette. The consistent use of natural oak, cream tones, layered lighting, and custom storage creates a comfortable home with a clear sense of character.
